Book Meme

I got this meme from storybox who was nice and let me use it. :D

1. Do you snack while you read? If so, favorite reading snack?
No.

2. What is your favorite drink while reading?
Don't have one. What ever I'm drinking at the moment, I guess. Water or pop probably.

3. Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of writing in books horrify you?
Mine are all from the library, so no. And I wouldn't anyway. Too tedious. I hate when we have to annotate things for school.

4. How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ear? Laying the book flat open?
Whatever little piece of paper is handy. I've been using post-it a note resently. And I have one nice bookmark made of some kind of bark with flowers painted on it and a bead on a metal twirly thing at the end. I use this sometimes.

5. Fiction, Non-Fiction, or Both?
Fiction. I've recently been reading a lot of non-fiction books, though. Mostly about feminism.

6. Are you a person who tends to read to the end of a chapter, or can you stop anywhere?
I stop anywhere. I hardly ever stop at the end of a chapter. That's usually a cliffhanger!

7. Are you a person to throw a book across the room or on the floor if the author irritates you?
No. I just stop reading it.

8. If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop and look it up right away?
No. I can usually infer what it means from the text.

9. What are you currently reading?
Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
And I've started Geektastc: Stories from the Nerd Herd by a whole bunch of ya writers
And Bitchfest: Ten Years of Cultural Criticism from the Pages of Bitch Magazine by Lisa Jervis & Andi Zeisler

10. What is the last book you bought?
I have no idea. It's been a really long time. I mostly get my books from the library.

11. Are you a person that reads one book at a time, or can you read more than one?
I usually only read one at a time.

12. Do you have a favorite time/place to read?
No. I read when I have time.

13. Do you prefer series books or stand-alones?
Series books.

14. Is there a specific book or author you find yourself recommending over and over?
The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien. And anything Agatha Christie, mostly her Miss Marple books.

15. How do you organize your books? By genre, title, author's last name, etc?
They're just sitting on my bookshelf in no real order.
