k-drama suckered me in and finals pulled me down in its undertow, i meant to do this like last week...  a supposedly better book meme.

look at the list below. these are the books that someone found valuable. bold the ones you've read, underline the ones you started or have read bits of, italicize the ones you want to read. Add your own five books and pass it along

1. 'the little prince' by antoine de saint-exupery
2. 'time traveler's wife' by audrey niffenegger
3. 'the disreputable history of frankie landau-banks' by e. lockhart
4. 'annie on my mind' by nancy garden
5. 'where the wild things are' by maurice sendak
6. 'a little love song' by michelle magorian
7. 'arcadia' by tom stoppard
8. 'ronia the robber's daughter' by astrid lindgren
9. 'earthsea series' by ursula k. leguin [cuz it's supposed to be her seminal work, and 'the dispossessed' was interesting reading].
10. 'women and apple trees' by moa martinsson
11. 'mrs. dalloway' by virginia woolf [cuz my roommate idolises virginia woolf, and rec'd this book as the one to read of hers].
12. 'the giver' by lois lowry
13. 'the cider house rules' by john irving
14. 'a visitation of spirits' by randall kenan
15. 'the bfg' by roald dahl
16. 'lord of light' by robert zelazny [cuz it has the perfect blend of sci-fi/fantasy/mythology - buddha in an alien world, wat's not to like?  i've read it 3 times and expect to go back to it many more times].
17. 'diary of a bad year' by j.m. coetzee [cuz it's thot-provoking and the format is different and it's not really tat long].
18. 'the big over easy' by jasper fforde [cuz he's genius and really, EVERYTHING of his should be on this list but i'm trying to be impartial].
19. 'the yiddish policeman's union' by michael chabon [cuz he's another genius, and this is one cool piece of alternative history fiction tat left me deeply satisfied.  also, his other works are fantastic].
20. 'the lies of locke lamora' by scott lynch [cuz it's my new favourite book - i love fantasy with tat tinge of sci-fi, i love the language, i love the plot, i love the idea of the subversive underdog.  i hope the author gets out of his slump sometime during my lifetime and finishes the massive grand cycle he plotted out].

this was hard, i had so many other books i wanted to put in >_
