It was my day off today, so I slept in a bit. The remains of Gustav came up to Chicago and are making it rain all day today. It was so rainy that you couldn't even see the sears tower. It was blocked out from the skyline by this massive fog, which I thought was pretty amazing.
Me and Stew shared a taco on the corner of Jackson and State, and then split ways. He went to look for jobs and I went to the public library and read in one of their corners. We meet up again, and now I'm cooking some rice at our apartment. Gots to let it soak.

Stew and I adopted an all Japanese diet, which some of you know. Authentic Japanese by the way, which is not as great as you may think. But it's okay, and pretty cheap. Having tried out some various dishes so far, I can tell you honestly a few things I've learned.

1. I don't really like tofu. It doesn't taste bad, but the texture is...something to get used to.
2. Low-Sodium Soy Sauce is great for cooking purposes, but don't ever use it for anything else.
3. The Japanese way to cook rice is really amazing.
4. Don't bother with Mugicha, if you want to drink an iced tea, just buy Lipton.
5. Japanese food is no substitute for a slice of pizza and a coke.
