So, something might have just slightly curbed my massive use of google.
And not because its BETTER OPERATIONALLY, but rather because of its cause.
"Goodsearch" (www.goodsearch.com) Is a search engine that donates to charity every time you search something. You just pick your charity (I picked PRF- the progeria research foundation, but there are hundreds more, including the ASPCA and the cystic fibrosis foundation, for instance.) and you begin to search. About a penny is donated for every search. Needless to say, I will start using this more and more (even though I prefer google, this search engine has a great cause.)
So yeah! I hope anyone reading this would consider using this great tool- it takes virtually no effort, and you are able to help out people who need it really, really badly. Although a penny per search doesn't seem like much, how many searches do you do in a day? I know i do AT LEAST 10-20. Then lets say ten people did this for a week. Thats already in the dollar amounts to go to a cause you feel needs your help.
So I'll get off my soapbox now, but yay!
life,
charity
