No reason..
So I've decided there is no reason to me to not update my Livejournal now that I have this application.
Seussical the Mysical is in full swing right now. I'm currently trying to setup all the sound equipment and get the microphones running. In the past, every person on the stage would have had a microphone bit I'm definitely putting a stop to that. Kristin (the director) and I are going to be hanging several microphones from the ceiling. This should help pick up the students on stage a bit better. This should also cut down on the need to have 16 body microphones running all the time.
Our stage is old enough to not have any stage lighting and the stage is also a gymnasium at the middle school. I also found out that the stage is apparently condemned because of the boiler room being underneath the stage. This seems like a great arrangment, you know, having kids running around on this stage when it is likely to fall through at any point in time.
Anyway, I'm home with a migraine today. It's my first sick day at Bloom-Carroll since I've worked there. I hate taking sick days. Especially when I have so much to do at work.
We started the Pennies for Patients fundraiser last Monday and as a school, we've raised $842 which is impressive. One of the classrooms has raised almost $250! It's really quite impressive. After the informational assembly we had, it seemed the kids really kicked it into over drive. I'm proud of them.
Saint Patricks's Day Party on Saturday. Who's excited? I am!
