I have a terrible headache and i didn't wake up today til 7:40, I felt awful, waking up that late always makes me feel bad.
I find myself a lot of the time when I'm writing about anything sky or star related that I like to write more about the stars themselves then comparing them to things or saying crap like "the stars in your eyes."
(stupid title I'm changing) - January 2003 (about a meteor shower August 2002)
Isolated, but not alone
We stand in this field as three
Darkness shrouds all but light from the stars
The wind breathes gently through trees
No light pollution to hinder the sky
Warm currents blow off worries like butterflies
Trees on all sides but one little road
A perfect night born to watch the heavens explode
An orb tears with fury across the horizon
Like some holy fire of purple and blue
And for a split second God’s glory is apparent
Then all is sewn up without trace or clue
On this indigo Backdrop graced with diamond dust
More light streaks appear and suddenly bust
Gazing up in amazement no worries remembered
Dew falls down upon us, but we’re bound by these embers
Now a bit soaked and beginning to shiver
We contemplate leaving… after one last bright sliver
At last we are satisfied and we walk away
But the memory will be there, through all of our days

cheesey, simple... ok yeah, but whatever.
