Yeah, it's that meme again:
Ask me a question about one of my stories. It can be absolutely anything in any story. Whatever you ask, I will attempt to answer truthfully.
You may ask about fic I've written, fic I've promised to write, WIPs, anything you'd like.Granted, I haven't written much in the way of bandslash, but I thought it might be fun

But when they get older and Spencer becomes less of a tomboy -- like, she still plays drums and wears band t-shirts a lot and spends a bunch of time with Ryan and their other friends, who are guys, but along with her band t-shirts, she wears jeans that fit, girl shorts. Other times she wears skirts if she wants, and dresses, but she's not bothering to be like a girl or a boy, she's just being herself. When she's around 15, it seems sudden to her that she really LIKES Ryan. She's sort of embarrassed about it, quite honestly, because dude, what the FUCK is up with her stupid body making her do things like fucking CRY for no reason, and her fucking boobs making it so her T-shirts are too tight now, and making her like her best friend, which just fucking RUINS it.
So she acts a little weird around Ryan for a few months then -- he's 16 and just got his license, so with a car, they're going and doing a lot of stuff ALONE together, which is a big change -- but she's determined that this bullshit isn't going to ruin their friendship, so she basically just shoves it to the back of her mind and ignores it, even though sometimes inappropriate things spring to her mind when she's watching Ryan's hands on the steering wheel or she and Ryan go swimming together, and they get into dunking fights and stuff, and he's touching her bare skin in completely innocent ways.
Basically, they're too comfortable with each other by that time for Spencer's tiny moments of awkwardness to get between them. She steadfastly ignores THOSE feelings, and Ryan...Well. Ryan misses a lot of things. He IS aware that Spencer is attractive, and he's protective of her ... when she's not around. Like, if anyone says anything negative about her when she's not there, or says something suggestive about her, even, he'll bitch them out. But he doesn't really see her like that for a while, not until he gets his first real girlfriend -- which Spencer tries really hard to be nice about, and to be nice to HER, because Ryan's girlfriend is a pretty cool girl and doesn't deserve any shit. But then Ryan figures out that he's always judging his girlfriend against Spencer and wishing she were more like Spencer, but that's not normal, right? So now HE'S weirded out and unwilling to make a move, because they have their lines.
So basically, a while passes that way, with both of them at least a little in love with each other but willing to keep it a friendship. They have MOMENTS, you know? Ones where they're aware at the same time, when their eyes catch and that SOMETHING sparks, but they have kind of a tacit agreement that it just isn't going to happen. When Ryan grabs Spencer's wrist in the mall, that's when everything changes. He calls her out on doing what she wants, and when he acknowledges he wants to see her in that dress, and she puts it on FOR HIM, they both KNOW, and it's sort of exciting/anxious knowledge until the night of prom. It builds without either of them ever saying a word, but both of them understanding where it's headed.
Then prom happens, and this THING they have is on both their minds from the minute Ryan picks Spencer up, and it's tense in the best way the entire night. All those things they've never done, treated each other like something other than friends, touched each other deliberately, danced that close, kissed, they happen all in a span of hours with so much history behind them that every single motion seems laden with meaning. And then they have sex! Wheeeeee!
Aaaaand, if you want to know more about what happens after, I am going to be telling that to withoutmaps in this thread pretty soon.
