i'm sitting here thinking about people, and socializing, and how things change. i've recently started coming back out of the mommyshell and realize i don't have many close (non-Trevor) friends anymore, and more importantly, don't know if i have a 'best friend.'
of the two i'd say i had a year or two ago, one is now almost non-existent in facetime (but still strong in my heart) and the other has been fading on both the facetime and affection front for quite a while....that one might be done.
and it made me sad, and i started thinking about finding a new BF. maybe surveying some peeps, running some interviews, something involving, ideally, an obstacle course....
but then i start thinking that maybe the notion of a best friend is strange and unnecessary/unmaintainable at our age, or in our stage of life, or whatnot.
is it?
do you have a best friend? what is your friendship like? do you see each other often? do you function perfectly happily with no one closest-friend? i\m really curious about the rest of the human race here, so it'd be awesome if you'd chime in in the comments.
