This part is smoother, and it was necessary. We already know who the characters are and how they react to some situations, so it was the right time to include some action to go with them. It wasn't easy to read Frank and Gerard in the beginning; Nate's death being something so sudden, so accidental in Gerard's life that made him so hurt from all the things he had felt while Nate was alive. And now he's afraid of feeling the same things and having the same result - it's only natural. But it hurts Frank the double; I mean, he's hurt for not being loved back after SO many years and for not being able to help Gerard healing his heart, because the only way he really could do that, it's something that must terrify Gerard. And Frank doesn't seem like a guy who would force things out... I think.
And the situation with Spencer and Brendon - it was kind of bond to happen. Like, in a small town, two boys like they are falling in love surely wouldn't bring any good to their lives. And Brendon being a Mormon; pff, I know nothing about the religion, but I guess it's pretty traditional and one that wants their little morals to remain alive and permanent in everyone's minds... and behaviors. What will happen now? Will they be able to finish their plans, now that they'll be living with Mikey? Will they manage to keep their relationship? Or will they be two more characters to be hurt in the end? Well, yeah, more again *-*
