I'd like to thank all of our friends who came out for our engagement party last weekend, and especially June for hosting it. That certainly was quite a surprise! I'm amazed she was able to plan the entire thing without anyone leaking any news about it to us.
June gave us a very thoughtful gift as well--a basket of various snack foods to sample; chocolates and cheeses and such, and coffee mugs with our initials on them. I was touched by the gesture, considering throwing a party for us was more than enough to begin with!
Wedding planning continues this weekend, with looking at local venues. I'd still prefer France, but I told Victor I'd keep an open mind about the whole thing. We're going to tour Eltham Palace, and I have to admit I do like the art deco feel of it, judging by their website.
Aside from wedding planning, I've also been spending my time revising for a big exam in my flight class. It's the last one before they let us actually go up in a plane with an instructor, so I'm hoping I do well on it.
