By now I'm sure all of you have heard about Victor and my engagement, since he's spoken of little else the last month. Thank you for the well wishes we've received so far! After procrastinating for a few weeks, I finally broke the news to my parents last weekend. My mother wasn't as displeased as I'd imagined. Perhaps after my having been with Victor for five years, she's finally coming around to the idea ;)
My birthday is coming up in three weeks, and considering Victor and I have already been busy starting to plan our wedding, the thought of throwing another party seems slightly overwhelming. I suggested just having a few people over for dinner, but apparently cooking your own birthday dinner is frowned upon.
Maybe I'll just go out to dinner, then. I'm thinking the 28th will be best, since it's a Friday. Anyone who would like to come along is invited. I haven't decided yet where I'd like to go, but I'm open to suggestions!
