I hadn't planned on mentioning anything about this here, but apparently Victor had been posting all along about what he thought was going to be an engagement between us and then my subsequent taking time apart to stay at my parent's house in France, so I suppose I ought to mention my side of it, lest it seem like I was purposefully trying to lead him on.
That was never my intention; it was just a misunderstanding between the two of us and I decided we ought to spend a week apart to give myself time to think over what I wanted for the future of our relationship. I got home this past Sunday afternoon, and we talked a lot of things out which needed talking out, so we're doing well now.
There are no wedding bells currently, but there may be some time in the future.
