shoutouts

I have this huge impulse to shop on the net, but the thing is, is that Singapore doesn’t have any online stores. I was thinking of buying things online and then sending it home, but I came to the realization that sending things would be too much of a hassle and cost way too much. Plus, I don’t have money to spend/ waste either.
I think my phone arrived at home, so I am just waiting for it to be sent back here, which will probably take a week at least, I just didn’t want to buy a used phone here and have it break on me, when I could just use my warranty back at home.
Oh and today I missed going to Malaysia because I woke up super late. Well I woke up on time, but then I decided not to go and then opted to go back to sleep. Which was pretty sweet, I finished reading one of the minimal texts for my Southeast Asia: Decolonization and after class. I just have to get access to the web, so that I can do my other required reading for the tutorial and finish the plagiarism test. Sigh…. That and I still have to do my Chinese homework, I should have opted out of Monday morning classes, but its alright, other than the fact that I have to leave early so that I can arrive to school on time. But once I finish my classes tomorrow I’m meeting Arthur up at Brewerks just so that we can just chat and chill, then I am headed back to the library so that I can do some work and back home so I could cook something for the potluck. That is my goal for tomorrow.
On another note, Yummilicious food night was so good yesterday I had the best mint chutney I’ve ever had and we had dim sum.. I love dim sum. It reminds me of family. And the other day I decided to make wontons because they reminded me of family and how my mom had prepared meat and all we had to do was fill and fold the wontons, I wish I learned more of the family recipes. I made a lot, and it tasted decent, except for the fact that it had way too much ginger than what was suppose to be in it because I didn’t read the instructions carefully, but oh well it wasn’t bad.
And speaking of family, my sister’s friend Cynthia, sent me a you tube video of my sister and her bf.
I also feel like I havent been updating much..maybe I have, but I guess I haven’t in a really long time. I just feel like making a trip to a café (too bad Singapore doesn’t have any) and just writing and people watching.
I promised myself I would do shout outs for the next time I wrote on my journal, which for me was a really long time ago. I guess I will start with…Jessica since she posted the last journal I read.

Jessica- I’m glad you got your classes straightened out and who knows you might end up in another class that “you know who” is in. Also don’t give up on your dreams because your family doesn’t understand, it should give you even more fuel to pursue it. I wish I could still find the passion to pursue something. Oh and whenever I get back I want to go to Paddy’s with you. I Haven’t been to Paddy’s for such a long time. I guess that is the place I would want to go to just reflect.
Sukhjit- The weather here is alright, it is just constantly changing. When I want to go it rains cats and dogs, and whenever I stay in the sun is always shining. Kind of like that Fergie, whenever you want to listen to good music they play her stuff. Anyways I hope your Actuary (whatever that is) final went well. And you have to tell me what day you graduate since you will be graduating this year (right) so I can try to make it…if it’s a free for all. Oh and I hope you have another cute math professor at cal this semester.
Kayla- Congrats on changing your major, I hope you end up being happy pursuing it. Other than that why the big change? Oh and what field in Anthro are you planning on going to? Cultural studies? Migration studies?etc… Hrm maybe you can apply to grad school in Uof M and we can be grad students there together
Sarah- I cant believe that you already started school. I hope learning German goes well for you. There are a lot of Germans studying here in Singapore. I remember one very fondly because he was pretty hott stuff and he was sitting and talking to me during orientation. Oh and I might have a chance to go to Germany this winter break maybe you can come along and be my tour guide. Other than that learning a language is so hard. I’m trying to learn Chinese, without much luck.
Karen- I somehow lost your address, but I remember your street name, city, zip code, and state. Can you send me your house number? Oh the pictures from the Xgames are Sweet! And I saw Kahula liquer the other day and was tempted to try to make your pie, but then I couldn’t because I didn’t have an oven… oh and I didn’t have the recipe either L
Stevie- I cant believe your program is already ending! I hope you did superb on your finals! Make sure you post pictures because it doesn’t look like I will be able to afford to go to all the places you have been visiting. But maybe if I am ever good enough, the Lockness monster will appear in Singapore.
Puneet- Maybe traveling could be your new hobbie! Btw have you booked your tickets yet? I need to know when you will be arriving so that I can try to arrive a day earlier from my vacation to be able to settle you in. Do you want to travel around SEA as well or do you just want to stay in Singapore?
