Well I have to say that 21 was a good age for me, but I think 22 is going to be even better :) It's off to a pretty good start already. This morning Trey and I woke up early to run an errand on campus for a friend. The waking up early thing has been the only not-so-good thing. I prefer to sleep in and lounge around on my days off (as most of you already know). But I did get to spend all morning with Trey since I was awake, and that's a nice change. When we got back to the house he gave me my birthday present... a pair of beautiful diamond earrings! He's amazing :) Tonight we're going out to a nice dinner to further celebrate the occasion. We get to go through all this two nights in a row since our birthdays are back-to-back. I'm actually thinking about giving Trey his birthday present at midnight, if he lets me...
A brief look back at 21:
It all started with Guzman making me take my first shot of tequila on my brithday...yeah, I still don't like that stuff. I started attending Sci-Fi Fridays on a regular basis and getting to know everyone, which has beeen a lot of fun. I managed to attend two mixologies, good times for those who remember them. I got a lot closer to my classmates... We started spending more time together outside of class. This year we've partied, played tennis, gone to the gym, gone to an amusement park, hung out, done some studying, done a lot of ranting and watched tv/movies. Trey and I have planned (yeah right) our wedding and honeymoon. I helped Trey buy a car. I've had my first, and hopefully only, bout of laryngitis. I did a lot of work for school, which resulted in straight A's. I managed to keep Trey and I on a budget for all of two months (yeah, I'm glad that didn't last long). I've made a lot of good friends and kept a lot of great ones (if I haven't told you lately please know that I appreciate you!) I'm sure I'm missing a lot of important stuff, but needless to say it's been a long and interesting year. I don't think I'm a grown up yet (I'm not sure I ever want to) but I've definitely come a long way.
