Specifically, Harry Potter fanfiction. It's weird, but I feel almost betrayed, like our dirty little secret is out. First rule of fanfiction is you don't talk about fanfiction in real life. Seriously.
Time magazine just explained 'slash' and 'dubcon' and 'Mpreg' to the regular reading public. Let me die of embarrassment.
I don't know how to feel about this.
PS: they actually recommended some HP fanfiction. WTF? Do you realize what a boon that could be to someone trying to get published? I wish they had made it known they were looking before the fact, and not have used just HP stuff. Also, one of the stories looks pretty Mary Sue-ish (on a side note, Time didn't talk about Mary Sues, a goldmine they sadly missed).
