this past week band wise has been good. rehearsals were productive, and drumline wise we took it up a notch on saturday while building chops. we maxed out all four exercises. aside from the occasional finger pains it was an awesome feeling.

talking about cadets easily makes me happy

friday was the lame talent show. i came late, didnt have to pay. watched two lame acts, and me and ashley started to wander all around north, which conveniently was completely open. then marltonia diner. i got chicken alphabet soup again.

ive decided that when i start working (sadly) that ill buy drum merch with my first paycheck because im a drum loser. then ill start saving the little bit i need to for disney...then itll be new cymbals, and eventually my new set...and by that time itll probably be close to next band camp. oh well.

jazz is an american classic and therefore we present it as such
without tricks and without
nonsense annnnd
funny hats and funny hair

my semi long term goals as of this point are to get good at jazz and start making steps towards cadets...chopping out whenever possible and running. the goal with jazz is to get good enough for jazz band. notice that making south jersey isnt on there. i dont think i really want to do it. im still going to try out, but if i dont make it i wont be too disappointed, and if i do it can't be bad

i also need to make up my mind about whether or not im going to stay on tenors or move up to snare next year. my problem with that is after high school and going into drum corp

yeah, i know like 94 percent of the entry was about drums and music. i cant help it. once marching bands over i might get a life, and write about how boring/awful my job is.
