(no subject)
Hmm... Had a request to update the shrinking LJ world on my life.
Most notably, I've got 2.5 months until I can work independently wherever I choose as a family doctor. I don't have much for solid plans about this yet. The Boyd clinic says that I can work there for two weeks in July (or as much as I want, sounds like, but that's all I want for not) though they've given me no info on how to secure said weeks and Ste. Rose du Lac is more than happy to have someone give them a break for 2 weeks in August. I just don't want to commit to anything to fast - mostly because I like to avoid decisions, but also because I'm told it's unwise to lock myself into a clinic that may or may not be all it's cracked up to be. Not to mention that I want to spend lots of time in the Manitoba sun, at Folk Fest, at the beach, at a cabin, on patios, etc, and starting a full time job is not conducive to this goal. So locums I will do.
Between me and this summer are: a big exam (2 days) that I haven't studied enough for, 2 more Dauphin call shifts, an awesome conference at Blue Mountain resort, a month in Winnipeg at Legacy clinic, a month in Brandon doing pediatrics, a graduation, some applications to jobs and licences and things, some serious talks with the bank, an apartment/condo search that is slowly pushing me toward condo and not apartment, a month living with Skye that could make or break our relationship (but probably won't), many bike rides in the sun, a couple of potlucks I hope, several intentional challenges to my social fears and bad habits, etc.
In short, this is an exciting time during which I feel I'm spinning in circles until a few things fall into place.
I'm also going to Burning Man, to round out the summer and this crazy new leap I'm about to take.
