I'm really glad that I read PJO before I read Harry Potter. If I hadn't i would probably be one of those crazy HP super-fans that can't understand that uncle Rick's similarities-(travis and Conner= Fred and George. Gabe Ugliano= Uncle Vernon)--are not the sign f an inferior story but of a loveing homage.

YEEEAH. The only reason he's in minor fandoms is because of the lack of material to work with. But he's great for crossovers. Also, i'm pretty sure he exists. We'll never know because he's classified.

EVERYONE he loves DIES and then he has to move to a new country, smother his talents because MI6 used them improperly and destroyed him in the process, and while he's in that new country I had a read-between the lines feeling that he hung himself.
Why?
Besides the above-mentioned depressing stuff, he's going to live with Sabina Pleasure. WHO SUCKS. (I am not that girl that bashes all the female characters. I love female characters. I love Jackie. Sabrina just sucks). She literally has no personality besides her "naughty" jokes and "mature" behavior. Like, literally, there's nothing else. I just ugh. Why is she even there. Mr. Horowitz obviously know how to create a beautiful relationship as we saw with Jackie, so why would he write a shallow, uninspired relationship like Alex and Sabina's and try to paint it as true love? Much less try to convince the reader that they'll be a big happy family. PLEASE.

the guy can't go to a party without nearly getting himself killed and forcing a fourteen-year-old boy to save his life.

What happened was, I read the books, and loved them. Then I went back to read them again and burst out laughing on the first page. So, I might write fic because it was over all a good story and I hold the characters in mind warmly. I just fell out of love I guess. But there is so much romance and potential for romance that if i said I wasn't going to write something...I'd be lying. :)
Ooooh, but I just saw the movie New Moon and A) loved it way more than Twilight, and B) the movies somehow give the characters personality the books don't. It's the rare and sad case when a movie many consider sappy is much better than the book.
In the movie, Bella come off much kinder and more logical. She's not creepy and pathetic...mostly. But why does she breath like she has butterfly wings for a heart? Waddup with that? ANTYWAY, I just realized tha Jacob Black is just like Peeta from HG except he pouts when he doesn't get the girl instead of saying something witty and noble and holding his head up stalwartly. Okay, so Peeta sulked, but he wasn' pouting.
But still, I love Jacob. Jacob Black is my guilty pleasure.
