Dear Mom-
Tomorrow is Mother's Day and I debated buying you flowers because it would be something you would have to throw away when they wilted. It's hard to buy a gift for a hoarder. I never know if my gift will end up in a pile of a clutter and be forgotten. I don't want to contribute to your clutter. I bought you a book about quilting in hopes that you'll remember how much sewing and quilting bring you joy. Holidays that require gifts always make me nervous. Your birthday is coming up. I'll probably donate money to a charity on your behalf. I love you, but sometimes empathizing and relating to you is so hard.
