It's odd, that he's returning to the site at all. Odd that he feels drawn to the man-- no, elf. The elf that handed him death and allowed him life within just a short few minutes of a struggle. Nuada; a being so much like Castiel's brothers and sisters from a world entirely apart from his own.

Brothers and sisters one of which he's changed positions with. Anna, who he had been sure was set to never speak to any of them and be content but who saved his life, and then exacted punishment on the one that threatened it to begin with. Unknowingly, Nuada opened a door of opportunity for Castiel and his friends. One that Castiel was not about to let shut again.

The weapon he holds in his hand is not a trophy. Castiel doesn't care about things like that, even with his new state of being. Of course, he hadn't had much of a chance to adjust to the necessities he faced sans-grace. Now, it all seems to be loading itself onto his shoulders. He knows that Nuada will return, as the City dictates, to walk and breathe again. Dead, but not gone.

And when he does return, Castiel will wait for him to try to claim what is his.
