Olympic win

Fate stuck out his piggy hand and turned on my TV this morning before IPM and I finally got to watch some curling. I had 20 mintues to kill before heading out and continued studying made me want to ripp my eyes out; so instead I figured I'd watch 20 mintues of whatever was on USA network at that moment and low and behold it was curling.

USA women vs Germany women.

I have no idea what was going on but it was still fun and entertaining to watch.  The lady narrating/commentating was doing a reasonably good job as she pointed out stuff that seemed important and gave minimal answers as to why.  However not knowing the rules there was still a gap. The whole time was enjoy able. I like watching the ladies throw the granite puck and slide along all low on the ground even though they've let go of it.  Follow through is also seemingly important in basketball, soccer and a number of other sports, even if it does look silly. Brushing the ice speeds up the granite puck and if I remember correctly was called pushing... or pulling. Either way as there's no contact with the granite puck I don't think it should be called either.  Perhaps call it, oh I don't know brushing? But I also think that football should change it's name to something more appropriate like stupid handball.

When I left the game Germany was winning 4-1 but I don't know the real out come.

fun, sports, olympics, luck
