I'm starting to really want a dog.

But I hate the idea of being away for so long and having the dog be lonely.  I work kind of long hours and am to far away to go home on my lunches.

Down side is that I'm committing to being in LA on most weekends as you have to bring the animals you foster to weekend events. Among other responsibilities.

And then I remember I live in an apartment... so ... I've got to consider that as well.

Probably a really small dog... or a fish.
