And so beings the birthday celebrating!! Got together today with Sam and Caroline to go to the beach and attend the Fiesta Hermosa. It's basically a atry/crafty fair. There are a couple games, slightly healthier food options, alcohol and lots of booths to stop and buy things. Jewelry, clothing, paintings, ceramics, heat pads (probably dirt sell to well based on the weather) and more. We walked like half the fiesta and spent the rest of the time on the beach. Incredibly hot. So hot the water felt extra cold til you got used to it.
I loved every minute of it. Wish I could remember the topics of conversation... But my memory seems to hold on to general feeling not the details. Gotta work on that. Hoping it's a combination of my lack of reading, stopping memorizing things, and general lack of interest in the details (of books and tv shows not my friends) perhaps also connected to the increase in blankly watching tv. I'll need to start remedying this.
We found a jewelry booth that we all liked. They were selling gems, droozies, and metal leaves on dainty chains. All very pretty. It'll be nice to have an income so that every year I can refresh my jewelry collection when I attend these arty fairs like the Sawdust Festival in Laguna or the Renegade Craft Fair. Plus it's a nice place to giver gifts as it tends to be hand made and so I'd be keeping the economy going by spending y heard earned dollars on American made items. And that'd really what I've been striving for right? To support my country without king king into actual service.
After this, we went to Caroline's and waited for liters to meet up. Ate I the Santa monica Promenade at a relatively healthy organic type kitchen. Very tasty. Adrienne hated her all water crest nut salad but it was really delicious, so we ate the holes hole thing and they still replaced her meal with her preceded dish. The watermelon rose cocktail is quite refreshing on the heat stroke warm night. The peach nectarine berry cobbler was the perfect end to the evening.
Before we left Sam surprised us with bottles of wine that requested we (Caroline, Adrienne, Christina and myself) be in her bridal party, and I'm the maid of honor. The bottles of wine are very cute, the front label is a picture of us all and the back has a cute saying/request,
"as I prepare for the day that I'm to be a bride it would mean the world to have you sipping by my side."
All very cute and super touching. I completely teared up. I wasn't expecting it. Party, yes. But m.h.o! Very cool. Guess I should start researching shower and bachelorette party ideas.
Way to start off the birthday week celebration! And by birthday week I really mean month. Cause I'm gonna be doing something birthday related every weekend it seems.
