Something that I did not learn in school is how to study without someone elses syllabus.  I know in general what I need to look up for my fieldwork next week, but once I'm done reading the chapter covering the specific condition, have written down the general definitions, and found OT interventions options... I'm out of direction.  Then I sit around reading or watching tv and feel generally guilty about how un-ready I feel.  Next week I'm going to start on the actual journey of begining to help someone, and Im not as confident as I would like.  I am not freinds with the great unknown. Right now I feel like a rehab therapist.  I'm going to have a bunch of activity options, but that's not really what OT is the focus of.  I'm really looking forward to the day that I can look back at today and smile.  Just laugh at the butterflies and my general fear.

It's a pretty good definiton that should work for any sort answer moments, like when you first meet someone new.  Or when I have to expalin it to someone old, like my friends frm chapman.  It's easier thant the 5 minute explanation I currently use.
