Dream Time

Last night I had a dream. Martin Luther King style, but with more action and less civil rights challenges.

I was going to a restruant/casino/theatre for my birthday.  Meeting some friends and family and seeing a live actipon movie.  Litterally.  The type of movie where the actors are on a stage, and there's video playing behind them and then they disappear and the screens tell some of the story.  So it starts out with to characters under a car, the audience sitting theater in the round and in the center of the round.  Atypicl seating arrangement.  Under the car two characters are hiding from an alien invasion.  Suddenly alien feet are around the car and there's screaming and maddness.  One character gets dragged off by the aliens and the other gets dragged the opposite direction by some military type rebels.

Light burst above my chair.  Hand on my shoulder, lifting me up.  Guys in army suits yelling and pulling me with them out of the audience onto the stage.  Apparently, one of the parts is always thrust upon whom ever sits in the hot seat.  Awesome!  There's banter, they adlib some because they have to react to whatever I say and I'm given one of the guys jackets for camoing my street clothes then we're off the stage.

Behind the secnes is chill.  They explain some of what;s going on and head to the next mark.  One of the actors, not the one who "saved" me throws his arm around my shoulders and tells me that the guy who saved me is going to be a traitor.  I wonder if this is true, or if this is building trust of audience member to us later when it turns out that my new friend is the real traitor.  But whatever, who cares this is all just to fun.

From there, the dream continues in the same vein, alien fighting with a rebel resistance, however the audience and the stage seem to have melted away.  I'm still the new person, there's a lack of weapons so I'm always placed in the middle of the guys with guns and fight training, but I end up using improvised weapons to fend off any zombie-aliens that get past they while they are all busy doing their parts.

Completely fun.

Great way to start off my birthday.  I'll be damned if the Aliens get to win today.

fun, life, birthday, b-day
