lets get political

California politicians finally passed the budget early today.  I was hoping for good news at this turn of events but it seems that it's more of the same.  Tax breaks for special interest groups, a removal of environmental controls for a few businesses (ones that received money from the government to stop them from going bankrupt), and the cuts going to education and health care.

"Amid the gimmicks, lawmakers proposed some cuts in state spending. The budget would essentially freeze money for schools, suspending voter-approved funding guarantees. State buildings would be sold off and leased back. Workers in the state's in-home care program would get modest pay cuts."

Why in the world does cutting spending on school and health care ever happen?  It's contributing to the stupidity and sickness of all the people under the wealthy income level. It really bakes my noodle.

Following the sentiments of Dr. Farnsworth, I'm beginning to feel as if  "I don't want to live here anymore" and if possible I would build a rocket to fly into space with.
