So far I've enjoyed all the events that have transpired with friends and Family.
Thursday September 2, 2010
Had a meeting with the Staffing Department of Universal Studios. Because I was getting free parking anyway I decided that I should go into the park after wards. Brandon was going to join me but that fell apart due to LA traffic. Still it was interesting.
I walked around City walk and ended up in two random conversations. One lasted for nearly an hour with a guy who apparently saw me in the Staffing Services paper work scession. He's been hired on as a cook in one of the diners. Covered all sorts of things, like Hawaii, to music, to comics and xmen. Plus all the different jobs that he's had. He was a talker to say the least.
I had a second short conversation with a lady about her dog. The dog was going with her into Universal studios because it was a "hearing aide" dog. Her husband is deaf and they were trying this dog out for assistance. She brought the poodle all the way back from the Phillipeans. It is used in order to get her husbands attention in case the doorbell or phone rings or something falls on the ground and he doesn't notice, stuff that hearing normally would cover.
I also stopped off and purchased a bag of Cinnamon Toast Popcorn from Popcornopolis, for my birthday. While i was in the store the cashier and I talked about the fact that someone had actually just come in and stolen one of the bags that sits against the opposite wall. he was miffed and thought that a bag of popcorn was a silly thing to steal.
I also had dinner with Brandon, pot stickers, salad and some bread. We were going to do pizza but the pizza dough I grabbed from Trader Joes was "spicy spinach" and as Brandon is a silly white boy, he didn't think he would be able to eat it.

A much simpler affair today than normal. Came back home from Burbank and hung around the house with family. Picked up my dead laptop and tried to finish Loma Linda's OT application. Then for dinner we went to Pupuseria La Sierra Restaurant located at 4505 La Sierra Avenue, Riverside, CA 92505 I wanted to try some Pupusas and picked that place off of yelp. They were actually quite nice. The pupusa de revuelta was by far my favorite, combining cheese, beans, and meat in a tastey think flour tortilla. Also delicious was the Lengua taco. If they treat all their meat with the same respect as that lengua then I'm going to have to go back to that place in the future. The taco was fantastic, tender meat that seemed to melt in the mouth surrounded by a flavorful mild green sause and of course plenty of onions and cilantro.
More on the rest of the week later.
