I failed the test in Stats today. Woo! He's going to make us correct them. Sucks ass. I'd rather have the failing grade than do more work ( Read more... )

I'm not failing Statistics; I just failed that one test.

Yes, colleges want to give me money because they think I'm smart and that IS cool.

Yes, they think I'm smart because I have excellent short term memory and shitty long term memory.

Well I have pre-paid college.

I qualify for the 100% Bright Futures Scholarship given by the state.

And USF wants to give me the "Presidential Scholarship."

that sounds a lot like me. heh. that sounds good. what has your GPA and stuff been like? and did you have to do like.. service projects and stuff?

My GPA is 4.31 and the majority of my classes have been Honors, AP, or DE.

Service Projects? Do you mean like community service? I had to do 75 hours of that for the Bright Futures.

holy shit

i can see why they're paying you to go to college. i have like all honors classes and get almost all A's and i still done have a 4.0. how many AP classes are you taking? and what the hell is a DE class?

yeah i think i have to do 100 hours to get the full shit on the bright futures thing? or thats what ive been told. i already have like.. 50/60.

I've actually only taking 1 AP class, Statistics.

DE is Dual-Enrollment. You take classes at the local community college for both high school and college credit, and it's all for free. I've taken 27 community hours, which means I'm almost a sophmore.

You only need 75 hours for Bright Futures. They're lying to you.

yowzuh. do you get ANY b's?

wait. so the college credit stuff adds on to your current GPA i guess? thats crazy. what kind of classes do you take at the community college? and how much time do you committ to that? you've got one prosperous life ahead of you

actually after this year its changing to 120 hours .. so yeah. im screwed. ahha. but ohw ell

I've gotten B's before. They were in like peer, world history honors, and american history honors.

At the community I've taken/will complete soon:
Biology 1
Biology 1 Lab
College Survival Skills
College Algebra
American Goverment
History of the U.S. 2
English Composition 1
English Composition 2
Microeconomics
Microcomputer Applications

It's just like college except small class sizes. The work is harder and they won't hold your hand like they do in high school, but there is no busy work so it takes less time (2 hours and 30 min. a week). I study for like an hour before the tests and so far I'm a 4.0 student. Oh yeah, in high school, it counts as a 5.0.

its those damn historys.

are the ..like biology classes at the college similar to highschool biology or way harder/indepth? how do you manage to... like..... have a life (no offense or anything) with all this stuff??

well. you sure quite a foundation to work with

Biology was hard. It was tons more in-depth (and sleeping in class didn't help me much).

Like I said, there was no busy work, so I usually have plenty of work. Occassionally I'll get swamped with like papers to write.

haha. it seems that going out of will to an extracurricular college class would not coincide with sleeping in class.

work work work. but like i said. were you able to maintain a decent social life with all the worK???

WHAT I MEANT TO SAY WAS...

Like I said, there is no busy work, so I usually have plenty of time.

I do procrastinate a lot though, so I would end up writing a 4+ page paper in 1 day (did that in government and english).
