Phoenix: Croup, Vandemar, Voldemort

Apr 24, 2006 14:10

“It is not a mere bird,” hissed Voldmort. “It is a Phoenix. Conventional weapons will not kill it.”

“Have no fear on that account,” Croup bowed his head a little to his employer, “my esteemed colleague Mr. Vandemar and myself are extremely skilled in the attaining of unusual weapons, and the use thereof. I assure you, we can find your bird. Why, may I ask, do you wish us to do so?”

“It is their hope. It is a symbol of who they believe themselves to be. Destroy the bird, destroy them.”

“I had a bird, once,” said Mr Vandemar.
