Watching from afar
taking a deep look inside myself,
the waves tumbling around you,
as I'm falling closer to the deepest
edge of the world.

I'm standing here,
wondering where you are.
Watching you stand so faintly,
faint at the bottom of the ocean.

Could you see the words I threw at you,
so forcefully yet gracefully in the air,
falling and scattering
as I break apart
into nothing.

Someday -
someday soon,
this will end,
and we will be at the deepest
edge of ourselves,
swallowing the words we never said,
the things we never heard.
