Knowledge, what is it good for?
Why? Why do I feed myself a constant stream of information? I'm wondering if I'm starting to drown under the deluge. There always seems to be yet another interesting topic to read, it just never ends. But what is its use really? If I were to simply grok it all and never speak of it again it would be of little net use. When I die I'll just take it all with me, no better than any physical worldly possession of the rich. Rich of mind is little better than rich of $, in the end.
I suppose sharing the more interesting of what I find with others on here improves and molds human culture slightly further in the direction I see as ideal, so there is some small use. But still, I can't help but wonder why I do it. To be continued...
