I missed the geology field trip today because I had to go to the doctor...badly. I really wanted to go on this geology trip, sounded fun, but climbing mountains and rocks isn't something I'm quite up to.
Last Tuesday or Wednesday I woke up with the weirdest pain in my back and ribs when I roll over, bend, stretch, walk or even breathe now. It got progressively worse until on Friday I decided I HAD to go to the doctor, but the doc is closed on the weekend so I had to go today.
Rewind, yesterday things got much, MUCH worse. I slipped on my butt and for at least 2 hours after that I could not move. I was sitting in the car and I couldn't lean back, sit forward and even straight without shooting, burning pains. The worst pains yet. Unbearable.
Later that night I was watching TV with my Dad and just randomly my heart just stopped. Literally. Stopped. It seemed like an eternity but realistically it was only a second. But it just stopped and my hand went to my chest and then it started beating again. I swear, it felt like my heart was coming up my throat. Like it was going to jump out and wave to the world. It scared the sh*t out of me. It's like when you fall over (as I did yesterday) and everything goes slowly. Almost like the world just stops. It was like that, a very long moment.
So, I went to the doc today and my heart rate was FAR too fast for someone sitting down. It was 102 or something. Freakishly fast for someone sedentary. I checked my pulse about an hour ago and it was still just over 100. That is NOT right. Alas, I had to have a blood test. Ouchies. Now I am sitting at home with an aching back and ribs.
Sh*t. Sh*t. Sh*t. Sh*t.
I have a big French test tomorrow which I am stressed about. I am sure that stress like that doesn't help the heart rate return to normality.
