everything is in motion. ups and downs have finally become ups, and all is right with the world. melanie and i signed our lease yesterday. out of 18 or so applicants, we were the ones chosen. why? i don't know. and i don't care. we have our place, and we are happy, and now i can begin starting again. it's clean, and big, and convenient. lots of light and lots of space.
and spring is here! or was.. now it's chilly, but still manageable.
the move for me will really begin this weekend. i must try to find a man with a van to manage the big stuff. in the meantime, i will roll things gradually the five blocks to the new place, so melanie has dishes and cds and a tv. the rest i will worry about later. she's there now, scrubbing the bathtub, and reveling in her own place! she's been homeless for months. and she now has her seat for culinary school, and an apartment, so everything is working, moving, changing. i love it.
next weekend i will ride my bike across the williamsburg bridge. then, i will probably be so terrified of the city traffic, i will ride it back across. so i'll take the jmz to chinatown and ride across the brooklyn bridge with jenene. and play in dumbo. yes.
