Let's see what I can do by memory.

Dairy: Eggs, dairy milk (plain and chocolate), yogurt, ricotta, sour cream. We use this stuff all the time. It's necessary for impromptu baked ziti, lattes, just drinking, whatever.

Squeezy bottles: White balsamic vinaigrette (makes nice marinade for summer squashes), peppercorn ranch (for dipping veg; when it runs out I am getting green goddess instead), Vietnamese caramel sauce (a little undercooked) and condensed milk for making Vietnamese coffee. Chocolate syrup for the occasional ice cream binge.

Preserves: Marmalades (seville orange from the store, moro blood orange & meyer lemon made at home (oddly caramel tasting), strawberry and blackberry jam, apricot. Garlic pickled with lime leaves and white pepper. Galangal in white wine just to keep it fresh and moist (it is not at the store often).

Tall things: A VOSS bottle filled with filtered water because VOSS bottles are beautiful cylinders of glass, some beer (left over from parties), some big jars of marinara sauce (tiding us over until we start to have a garden (I was in the garden today weeding and I totally have awesome dirt stains on my knees))

Things in little boxes: Feta, fava bean hummus (rather nice, sort of hazelnut-ish), some trimmings of proscuitto (that I have no idea what to do with), parmigiano chunks. Leftovers from the last time Mom visited and we made Indian food. Whipped potatoes that were going to be a soup BUT NOOO. WE ARE UNCOOPERATIVE TUBERS.

Veg: Tomatoes (still kind of sad and greenhouse-ish), some zucchini and yellow squash, trumpet mushrooms filling the fridge with a fascinating smell, probably some old shiitakes, a head of lettuce that's in a too-cold place and is bearded with frost, an old bunch of celery in similar condition.

Other stuff in the veg region: A jar of anchovy paste, probably some massaman curry paste if I didn't use it all up, miso (hm a lot of pastes), a stem of ginger and some garlic in the most surprising places, flour tortillas, a pack of lavash, my bento box (currently full of: a lavash rollup with some of hummus above and stir-fried vegetables with bacon, a pound cake and marmalade sandwich, above mashed potatoes), some chicken andouille (unopened) for a future bento, sliced cheeses from the deli (currently: cheddar, gruyere), a CONSPICUOUS ABSENCE of mozzarella, and a suspicion of leftover bacon.
