When did you lose your “Good Omens” virginity, and how (read the book, online, in the gutter)? If you read the book first, do you still have that particular copy?
Just this past year in fact. I believe it was sometime winter of '06. I lived a very deprived childhood, and my good friends bergann and shananagin told me I have to read this book so I can read their fic. And it was love ever since.
How many copies of the book do you now own? What publications, countries, cover image, etc.? Any special reason you bought those particular ones?
Just the one. It's of the newest US editions, the white one with red lettering and Crowley, and I bought it because it's the only one the store had :D
What is/are the condition(s) of your book(s)? If you have a very battered copy, what does it look like and how did it get that way?
It's in okay shape. Good Omens is my purse book, so the cover is a little tattered and the binding has come unglued/apart/split at pages 62&63. Some of the pages are a little bent, and if you sniff close, it smells a bit due to an unfortunate accident involving myself, a towel, a bathtub and lavender bubblebath.
Any copies autographed? By both authors or just one? Was it signed with anything other than the standard “Have a Nice Doomsday” or “Burn This Book”? If you have other copies not signed, do you plan to get autographs when the opportunity is presented?
No, unfortunately mine is not autographed. I am intensley jealous of shananagin because hers is autographed by both Neil and Terry. Someday I hope to get mine autographed by both.
Do you take notes about the contents, either in a notebook on inside the book itself?
No. I'm paranoid about writing in books, I don't really like writing I don't know why.
Have you ever loaned out a copy and never got it back? Have you ever given away a copy to someone who hasn’t read it before? What have been their reactions (i.e. total conversion, “meh, it was all right”, declared it heresy and de-friended you, etc.)?
I made my sister read my copy, and she liked it well enough, but clearly she isn't as crazy doesn't have the same refined taste I have. :D
Where does your book stay? (i.e. on a shelf with other books, beside your bed, in a backpack, enshrined with candles, etc.)
Like I said before, it's in my purse so I always have a book to read when I get bored :D. I'm a complete bibliophile XD I always have a book with me.
