also: I'm baking cookies for empires tomorrow, I've got 10 dozen done, with a bunch more to go. also to make are two batches of carrot bars (one is for home though, the fam gets upset if I make stuff they can't have), and two loaves of

dad is being a dick, and wondering why the hell I want to drive to Chicago to see Empires, when I have to turn right back around. I feel 15 years old when I say this, but my parents REALLY don't get it. They don't get how music has pretty much saved my sanity sometimes, and just how awesome I think this band (and others) really are. Every time I buy a new cd/vinyl/anything related to music they ask me 'why can't you just listen to them on the radio?' *headdesk*
