It may be time to conform again...
I submitted my resume to American Express today, so I may soon have a job again. This is both good and bad since I will again be known only as 'Jamie's sister'. The good side to this would be calls not starting with 'I can't connect' which haunts me to this day. Another triumph of the day would be the Cisco 678 I won for xunker's parents. They may finally have internet access soon.
Which brings me to my rant. If you're going to try and sell people items from your website--MAKE SURE THEY'RE IN STOCK before you advertise them as available for order. The kind people at LACC seemed more then happy to inconvience me on more then one occasion during the order process. Now for a point of reference, I placed the order on tuesday.
The first issue was with the shipping address being different then the billing address... Now I'm willing to take responsibility for that problem, and it was resolved with a quick call to my credit card company. The next problem was the amount of time they spent processing the order in which I had selected as 'overnight priority'. They should have shipped it on friday, but decided to wait until monday and then throw the final problem at me. The final issue was the 4 day delay on shipping the order. That just pissed me off and I cancelled the order.
Yes, i'm still bitter..
