The image of James coming home with big red puffy eyes was still lingering inside Duncan's head. He didn't know what happened to his love, because James refused to talk about it.

That's one of James' problems, when he is in trouble, he will most likely just shut himself off from everyone.

Luckily he doesn't do the same thing when he's in love. Duncan quite likes him the way he loves him, even though sometimes James can be quite clingy too.

Whatever happened at the dinner with his husband that night, it must have ended in a terrible way because he has never seen James in that condition before.

He spent all of the night comforting his boy, try to calm him down even though he really wanted to know what made James turn into a sobbing mess.

He knew that dinner was a bad idea. But he also doesn't have the right to stop James from seeing Cale. They were both still married to each other.

After James left their house, he spent every minute looking at the clock, worrying that James might run back to Cale.

He knew James; and he also knew how easily it was for Cale to snatch James back into his arms again.

Sometimes he did wish he could turn the clock around and be James' first love.

He just knew if James fell for him first instead of Cale, he would have promised to make James smile all the time of his life.

~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~

Standing in the kitchen, staring outside the window to the backyard with a cup of hot coffee in his hand, James' mind was playing all his memories with his husband...how they fell for each other for the first time and how Kate suddenly came back into their life.

Why does every time Cale hurts him, it feels like he's just been stabbed into his heart?

Not that he and Duncan never had a fight before, but he can easily forgive Duncan no matter how much they shout at each other.

That situation doesn't apply between him and Cale.

Duncan has been kind enough for giving him some space, figure stuff out; even though he feels like there's nothing he can do about it.

Cale chooses Kate over him, what more can he say about it?

Suddenly he felt his waist been wrapped into strong arms, yet soft enough, tried not to shock him with the sudden action.

"Hey...good morning." Duncan softly said into James' ear, showing he just woke up from bed.

He leaves a soft kiss on the side of James' forehead, making James turn around to face his man.

James smiled softly to Duncan while his hand carelessly brushed through his hair.

Duncan, with his eyes half closed, enjoyed his hair been brushed.

"Why are you up so early Dunc?"

"Can't sleep with an empty bed if you know what I mean." Duncan smirks, showing his big beautiful white teeth.

James giggles happily. He knows Duncan didn't mean anything dirty with it. It's just that he is a cuddly person. He spent most of the night cuddling Duncan's body after their love making session.

Then the morning after he would find his body being wrapped up against his man.

That's what his man does every morning. Unconsciously patting his bed side, trying to find his body so he can cuddle to it.

Looks like Duncan noticed he was not in the bed that morning.

"Do you have to go to work today?" Duncan slowly reaches down and softly kisses the tip of James' nose.

"I guess. Well what can I do in this house anyway? You also will be busy with rehearsing for the upcoming gig right?", James shrugged.

"Well I can take some time off and chase away your boredom. You do know I can do that. I did it once so I can do it again." Duncan smiled while his eyes tracing his man face.

James chuckled, "Yeah. I know you can do that. Don't worry, I will be fine. You still can see me when you come home later on. I'm not going anywhere, you know."

Duncan instantly snatched James' coffee and drank from it, making James yelp, saying "Go do your own coffee," and slap him playfully on his chest.

"We really should go get our own tea after this," Duncan tightened his grasp on James' waist making the man in front of him move closer to him, "but before that, join me in the shower?"

James' lips curled into a smile, "Okay."

~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~

Cale couldn't feel worse than he felt right now. With a cup of coffee that he just bought from Starbucks, he stumbles into Kris' studio, trying to find some peace before he starts writing any songs that he has in his mind.

Kris had forced him to take a few days off after that night, even though he still insisted on coming to the studio.

Nothing good happened while he was on holiday anyway, because he still felt the rage of losing James inside him.

James had completely cut off all his connection. He didn't answer any of his calls or his texts and James also didn't do any effort to call him back or send him a text which only drove Cale more insane than he already was.

He wondered whether James knew how much he was suffering right now when he just ran away from the restaurant that night.

Sometimes Cale wished that James would stop being so stubborn. He's not even with Kate right now, why should he be punished for living in their house alone?

When Cale finally reached the studio, the first person that he saw was Kris with a gasp on his face? But why?

He just shrugged it off and walked to one of the chairs in the studio, putting his drink down on the side table before he landed his body on that chair.

Suddenly he felt like his shoulder was being touched by someone.

"Cale, are you okay? " Kris frowned when he looked at his best friend.

He never saw this side of Cale. He didn't brush his hair and beard had grown on his beautiful face.

Well he did see it once when Cale still with Kate, but it's not as serious as the one that's in front of his eyes right now.

Does James not being with him affect his life that much?

Cale lifted his head up and looked directly to Kris, "I'm fine. Just been busy trying to sort things out."

"Things? You mean James, right?"

Cale just shrugged, "I guess. I don't know what I should do anymore. Why does everything that I plan turn into a nightmare?"

"Plan? Nightmare? What are talking about?" Kris felt suddenly curious about it. Usually Cale would go to him if he planned to do something.

Listening to Cale talking about his plan already being turned into disaster made him caught off guard.

Cale told Kris about his dinner plan and how he asked Kate to help him, which at the end of the night, Kate showed up and destroyed all of his plan to get James back home.

"Anyone ever thought about dumping Kate into a dumpster?" a soft female voice suddenly chirped in.

Cale's and Kris's head shot up to the studio door, only to find Sarah smirk, showing her pearl white teeth.

"Seriously Sarah? Is that what you have in mind?" Kris frowned to hear his friend have an idea on getting revenge on someone.

"Well she deserves it. I mean, I plan all this stuff to make Cale and James together as an endgame. What's the use of my plan go to waste only because of 'Miss Persistence', Kate Barber?"

"Wait. You're planning things?" Cale suddenly felt curious. Sarah was planing for him and James to be together? How?

"Yes of course. Well not exactly. Do you still remember the night that you and James met each other for the first time?"

Cale nodded.

"Well, when I was talking to you, I just knew that you should be together with James. But when I overlooked at James, he seemed not interested in you at all. So I thought maybe I was wrong. But everything seemed to change after you both sang the duet. James didn't admit it at first, but every time I mention your name, his eyes will suddenly sparkle like a puppy. Well I was nervous too when I decided to pair James up to you because I thought you were straight and all and James obviously had a crush on you. I was afraid things would go bad if you knew about his crush on you. By the way, he asked Kris a picture of you." Sarah let out a small laugh when she recalled that memory.

"You knew about this? Why didn't you tell me anything?" Cale felt betrayed that everyone knew James had feelings for him and nobody told him anything.

Kris held both of his hands up, "Don't worry. I gave him your picture with a shirt on. It was Sarah's idea. Well I knew it when he asked about the picture. I didn't give it to him directly. Yeah, I lied to him...sort of. But Sarah here managed to convince me about it. Besides, Adam always said a crush is a non threatening thing. So I thought it wouldn't hurt to send him a picture of you with a shirt on, I might add."

Cale felt dumbstruck. He definitely never knew that James had a crush on him. Even he himself only started to feel toward James because they spent a lot of time hanging out. But still he fought the feeling from going strong. He just never saw himself settle down with a guy. Moreover, according to his religious view, it's just wrong.

If James had a feeling toward him right from the start, that means the feeling is still there, right?

"Do you think James still loves me Sarah? Even after all we've been through?"

Sarah walked inside the studio and took a seat next to Kris.

"That guy drools on your picture with a shirt on. I think that speaks volume about his feelings for you." Sarah smiled fondly to Cale.

"But what about Duncan? He seems to really love that guy too." Cale frowned when he thought about his rivalry.

"Well, I don't know how James knows that guy; but I can assure you, you still have a chance Cale. You will always have it regardless how many time you screw it up. You just gotta play it right." Sarah softly patted Cale's hand.

"Speaking of playing it right, where's Mark?" Kris felt weird when he only saw Sarah in the studio while he was supposed to see Mark for that day.

"Did someone mention a dumpster?" Mark suddenly opened the studio door, revealing his sweaty face.

"Oh my god. What happened to you? Did something bad just happen?" Sarah quickly walked over to her husband with a handkerchief, wiping all the sweat off of Mark's face.

"Nothing happened. I just couldn't find any parking lot close to the studio. I ended up parking it around another building. I had to walk under the sun to the studio." Mark let out a small sigh, thinking how far that place and the studio were located from each other.

Kris frowned, "Well why didn't you call me? I could've picked you up from that place instead of letting you walk up here."

Mark softly kissed Sarah's cheek, mumbling a soft "Thank You", and took his seat next to Cale, "Don't worry about it. I'm here now finally. Sorry for being late though."

Kris walked over to his mini refrigerator, took out several cold drinks and handed one of them to Mark, "Here. Have a drink." he said, while he continued handing out the rest of the bottles to Cale and Sarah.

"Thanks man. So what's with the dumpster story?" Mark suddenly felt excited about this whole idea.

" I was just telling both of them how they should dump Kate into a dumpster for always interfering in James and Cale life." Sarah smirked to her husband,"And while they're at it, they should throw Katy in it as well. There's no doubt in my mind that she was on the 'break Cale and James up' plan as well."

Mark let out a big laugh, "Well I can do that. I'm sort of a professional in throwing people into a dumpster."

"Really Mark? From where did you learn about it? From your acting I assume? I can't believe you're agreeing with your wife. Are you being whipped or something?" Kris frowned to see his friend side with his wife's plan.

Mark just shrugged when he heard the word whip. He's not bothered with it at all. He loves Sarah, "Well I'm just saying. You don't have to throw the word whip on me while you're obviously being whipped by Adam."

"Hey, who told you that? That's totally a lie. I'm not being whipped by Adam."

Sarah smirked when she heard that, "Oh really? That's not what I heard from Adam."

Kris let out a small sigh. There's no point in arguing when he needs to fight with two people at the same time. Well actually, it's sort of true... he was being whipped by Adam, but of course in a good way, "We better start our work Mark."

Cale frowned, "Work? What do you mean by work?"

"Oh, didn't I tell you? Today was my song writing session with Mark. I'm just done with the one with Matthew Morrison yesterday." Kris explained it all to Cale.

"So does that mean my help is not needed right now?"

"I would be happy if you just stayed here for now. I'm sure Sarah also agrees with me. You look terrible man. Maybe you can go through some of the music sheets that I already laid out, find some song that you can give your touch to make it more interesting."

Cale nodded his head. Well, what else can he do? Kris is sort of right. He will feel more depressed if he goes home right now.

"I will go to the next room with Mark. You two stay here, okay?" Kris gave his last instructions before he and Mark stood up and walked to another room in that studio.

"And Sarah?"

"Yes?"

"Can you do me a favor? Keep an eye on Cale for me?"

"Sure thing Kris. Don't worry about it."

Cale frowned, " I'm not a big baby that needs to have a babysit."

Kris just shrugged, "Well, nobody said you are a baby."

Kris and Mark left the room, making Cale and Sarah stay in the studio part.

Sarah took both of Cale's hands into her own, "I just want you to know, James really loves you Cale. I know him. He can be full of crap sometimes, but he can't put out the fire that he feels towards you. The reason why he's so heart broken when he knew about you and Kate is only because he really loves you. He did talk to me about you sometimes, but at the end of the day, I still see both of you together like nothing ever happened in your life."

Cale nodded to that. He did notice every time they had a fight, he was really afraid that James would actually leave him alone. But James did prove him wrong. He still came back into his arms, making up and giving both of them another chance.

Cale goes over to the desk on which Kris had already laid out the music sheets to search through for a song to work with. Finally, he found one that actually expressed his emotions toward James right now.

He went to the wall, picked up his guitar and started strumming the music chords, making Sarah turn her head around and look directly at Cale.

You say you gotta go and find yourself
You say that you’re becoming someone else
Don’t recognize the face in the mirror looking back at you

You say you’re leaving as you look away
I know there’s really nothing left to say
Just know I’m here whenever you need me
I’ll wait for you

And I’ll let you go
I’ll set you free
And when you see what you need to see
When you find you
Come back to me

Take your time I won’t go anywhere
Picture you with the wind in your hair
I’ll keep your things right where you left them
I’ll be here for you

Oh and I’ll let you go
I’ll set you free
And when you see what you need to see
When you find you
Come back to me

And I hope you find everything that you need
I’ll be right here waiting to see
When you find you come back to me

I can’t get close if your not there
I can’t get inside if there’s no soul to bear
I can’t fix you
I can’t save you
It’s something you have to do ouuuh

So I’ll let you go
I’ll set you free
And when you see what you need to see
When you find you
Come back to me

Come back to me.....

And I hope you find everything that you need
I’ll be right here waiting to see
When you find you
Come back to me

Huuuh uuuuuh huuuh uuuuuh
When you find you...

Come back to me

Cale let his head fall back to the wall with his eyes closed, letting out a small stray of tears while both of his hands still clutched his guitar tightly to his chest.

~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~

"Is there any reason why you have your red guitar hanging on your back?" Lauren frowned when she saw Duncan had brought his guitar while they were obviously going to buy a ring from a jewelry shop.

"Well, if I didn't bring it, James might sense something was up while I obviously told him I'd go to rehearsal today." Duncan sighed.

It was supposed to be a surprise when the time came.

"A surprise proposal?" Lauren smirked.

"Yes. I don't think your hobbit boyfriend would tell you if he wanted to ask you to marry him."

Lauren frowned, "Hey, don't call my boyfriend like that. Darren is not that short."

Duncan looked over at his best friend before giving Darren, who was tagging along with them, a side glance, "Well, he is with my height."

"Well, I hate you. Why did I agree in the first place on helping you choosing your ring?" Lauren pouted.

Duncan let out a small laugh and smirked to Lauren, "Because you love me. And you want me and James to be together."

"I guess. I just hope he's not going to run to Cale again like before."

Duncan frowned, "Yeah... I don't need to be reminded on that part."

Lauren shrugged, " Well, it has happened once. I don't know why it won't happen again."

"That's because I'm too stupid to make my move. I should have taken James' hand and run off to marriage. All he wants was a commitment. That's all."

"So you and James were engaged to each other?" Darren frowned, looking at Duncan.

"Not really...James and I are best friend from high school.  I have a feeling for him but I was too afraid to confess it. I just thought maybe waiting for a few more years would be good for us. I definitely didn't think things through." Duncan sighed to the memory when he got the wedding invitation from James himself.

Darren walked over to Duncan and put his hand on Duncan's shoulder to squeeze it a little bit, " Well, you have your chance now. So, don't ruin it. "

Duncan glanced over at Darren while Darren just smiled back to him.

Lauren sure was a lucky girl for getting this curly guy as her boyfriend.

~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~

"So, Duncan... any idea on how you want your ring to look like?" Darren asked while all three of them were at the jewelry counter,

Duncan looked at all the jewelry that's been displayed in front of him, trying to decide which one he should take, "Well, I like a silver ring and something simple on it."

"Didn't you already plan to give James a silver ring before?" Lauren smirked to Duncan, making Duncan frowned.

"Honey, why don't you go over there and take a look at other jewelries. Let me know if you find anything that you like." Darren gave his best smile, making Lauren smile back to him.

"Fine. I will leave you two alone."

Lauren softly kissed Darren on his lips while her finger brushed through his scruffy face before she walked over to the other side of the shop.

Darren turned his attention back to Duncan, "Can I suggest something?"

Duncan looked utterly confused to Darren. Why was this guy being so nice to him after he called him a hobbit?

"Sure."

"I just found one that you might like. It's a silver ring, but it has a gold layer on top of it." Darren asked the assistant to bring the ring over to them.

When Duncan looked at the ring, he just knew he found the right one.

"This is gorgeous, Darren. Thank you for helping me." Duncan smiled warmly at him.

Darren shrugged, "It's okay. I'm Lauren's friend. Which makes you my friend too."

"So tell me about this James guy. You seems to really like him." Darren smiled to Duncan.

"Well he is the first guy that I have feeling to," Duncan's lips curl into a smile when the image of James formed in his head.

"So he is your first love?"

"I guess. I dated Crystal before but I never felt the way I feel toward James with her."

"So you were straight back then?"

Duncan laughed, "I guess. I don't know. Maybe I'm gay right from the start. Even James had a girlfriend before he settled down with me."

Darren shrugged, "Well don't worry about label. We should settle down with whoever that we love in our life." he said, while his head turned to look at Lauren.

Duncan noticed the way Darren looked at his friend, "Let's say if you wanted to buy an engagement ring for Lauren right now, could you choose one?"

"That's hard. I want everything to be perfect when I ask the question." Darren laughed when he thought about his engagement proposal, "and that would include a perfect choice in choosing a ring too."

Duncan smiled softly to Darren and asked the shop assistant to bring the ring that he had his eyes on, "Well I just happen to know that Lauren likes something simple that can surprise her. So you can cut off the perfect part."

He holds up the ring that he chooses for Darren so Darren can see it.

It's a very simple silver ring with a light green ruby on top of it.

Darren's eyes widened when he saw it. The ruby does resemble Lauren's eyes. It's like that ring was meant to be on her finger.

"Do you like it?" Duncan asked.

"Well yeah, but maybe we can save it for later. I still didn't plan on proposing to her right now."

Duncan softly shakes his head, "Well, I did mention something about 'being simple' and 'surprise' just now. So here's what you gonna do..."

He took both of the rings and went to the cash register to pay for it.

The cashier put each one of the rings into a velvet box. A black box for James and a red one for Lauren.

When he walked back to Darren, who right now looked confuzzled to him, he handed his guitar to Darren.

"Do you have any song that plays in your mind every time you look at Lauren?"

Darren frowned, "Yes I have. Okay... what do you have in mind right now?"

Duncan smiled at Darren, "I want you to ask Lauren to marry you right now. Right inside this store."

Darren was totally shocked with Duncan's idea, "What? You are crazy. I don't even know whether she really likes me, Duncan."

"She drools on your picture with a shirt on," Darren's jaw dropped a little and Duncan couldn't help but to laugh at Darren's face, "I think she really loves you if she can do that."

Darren frantically shakes his head, "I can't Duncan. I'm nervous and I can't do anything when I'm in panic mode. I will ruin it."

"That's why I lent you my guitar. I was like you too when I decided to pop up the question to James before, but the music managed to calm my nerves. So I know this trick might work for you too. Just sing as many songs as you want until you feel the right moment is there to ask the question."

Duncan handed over the red velvet box into Darren's hand and pushed him a little so Darren was standing right in front of Lauren.

Darren quickly hid the ring when he noticed Lauren turned her head to him.

"Darren, why do you have Duncan's guitar on your shoulder?" Lauren frowned when she looked at her boyfriend.

"I...I...uh..." Darren looked back at Duncan only to have Duncan nod his head, pushing him to go on with the plan.

Lauren felt so confused right now. She had never seen Darren stutter like this before.

"I have something to say but I think I'll let my music speak for me."

Lauren frowned, "Okay."

He started strumming the guitar strings slowly, trying to make a tune out of it.

Lauren was stunned when she heard the song. She knew the song that her boyfriend was going to sing.

She tried to form any relevance to why Darren would sing the song, but she couldn't.

Her thoughts were being shot down when she heard Darren's voice echo-ing through her brain at that moment.

I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete
Oh simple thing where have you gone
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting older and I need somewhere to begin

And if you have a minute why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go
Somewhere only we know?

There were tears starting to form in Lauren's green eyes .

It's beautiful....No words could express her feelings right at that moment.

Somewhere only we know...

Oh simple thing where have you gone
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

And if you have a minute why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go
Somewhere only we know?

Somewhere only we know...

Darren strummed the last string, gaining loud applause from everyone in the store.

They were just mesmerized by Darren's voice.

Darren smiled warmly to the crowd before he turned into serious mode.

This is the time that Duncan had been telling him about... the exact right moment.

He kneeled down on one knee in front of Lauren, making the thin blond girl with light green eyes standing in front of him gasp in shock.

Darren took a very deep breath while his right hand took her left hand to his own.

He look up to that watery green eyes which right now looking back sternly to him.

"I wish I knew what to say right now but I'm completely unprepared too, Lauren. I just know that I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. The best and most beautiful things in this world can not be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart. That's what I honestly feel toward you every time I look at you. Before I knew it, I wanted to be a part of you, a part of your life and your family. I want to see your face every time I wake up in the morning. I want to own your beautiful smile Lauren. I love you and I promise to always take care of your heart, be the hero and your man in your life. When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible. "

Darren sneaked his hand into his jacket, pulling out the red velvet box.

He opened the box, revealing the ring that he just saw a few minutes ago.

"Will you marry me Lauren?"

Lauren's green eyes were already over flowing with tears. She couldn't believe that her boyfriend would ask her to marry him.

They never discussed it in details before.

She tried to find some air to breathe, momentarily forgetting that Darren is currently waiting for her answer.

Darren started to worry, seeing Lauren not doing anything else than keep on breathing hard and wiping away her tears.

I knew it would be going to fail.

"Yes"

...That word made Darren almost lose it.

"What?" Darren frowned.

"Yes...I will marry you Darren." Lauren gave her answer while she kept sobbing like a 5 years old child.

Darren's lips curled up into a smile. He quickly pulled out the ring and slid the ring on Lauren's finger.

Lauren couldn't form or express how she felt right now, to see her boyfriend putting the ring onto her finger.

When Darren finally stood up and they stood face to face again, slowly he brought Lauren closer to him and left a soft kiss on her lips.

People at the store were all clapping their hands, celebrating the joy of the great news.

Lauren carelessly ran her finger through her boyfriend's curly hair, bringing his head closer to her.

Duncan stood rooted at his spot, mesmerized by the whole situation....people who were whistling...the clapping...the happy tears on Lauren's face.

He wished he could describe more what he saw right now, but he felt too overwhelmed.

He even gave a thumbs up to Darren when Darren looked over from his shoulder at him after their kiss.

He wondered whether James will say yes and stay forever with him this time.

~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~~*~*~

Cale couldn't take it anymore...The view in front of his eyes.

Mark and Sarah whispering into each other's ears while some of the time making that annoying kissy face.

Not only that, even his best friend was also doing the same thing at another corner of the studio.

Adam came to say hello a few minutes ago, but it seems like he will stay longer than that right now.

Sighing deeply, he walked out from the studio to the exit door of the building and sat there, gazing onto the road.

"You know I'm not Sarah's first love, right?" Suddenly a voice just appeared at Cale's side, making his head turn to the side to look at the person.

He was embraced by Mark's warm smile, looking directly at him.

Cale sighed, "Yeah... I know that. I did notice she seems to have a crush on Kris, even though Kris and Adam were already a couple when I first met James."

Mark nodded his head, "All I'm gonna say is that we will help you try to get James back to you."

"We?" Cale frowned.

"Yes...we. Kris, Adam, Sarah and me. I already talked with Kris about this. Oh by the way, the song writing session was just a cover. We've been talking about you the whole time in that room."

"Really?"

"Kris is worried about you. He may be married to Adam but he still your best friend."

"Yeah...I know that. Adam is even jealous of me."

Mark let out a small laugh because that's kinda true. Well even he himself is jealous of Kris whenever his wife is drooling on that guy.

"We decided to do a showcase, just for you. How does that sound?" Mark clearly started to feel excited with that idea.

"Sounds great man, but I'm not in the mood to play music."

"Yeah well, how about playing your music to James?"

Cale scoffed, "Yeah right. James doesn't even want to answer my calls now."

"That's why I said we. I figure if Kris or Adam invite him to the show, he would feel suspicious. It's totally different if the invitation is coming from Sarah. Sarah is kinda close to James. I'm sure she can pull the trick off."

"I don't think James will come when he sees my name on the invitation card."

Mark shakes his head, "Nope. That's why the show will call 'A Night With Kris Allen'. He wouldn't suspect anything because Sarah clearly adores Kris."

Cale sighed, "What about Duncan? James would not go anywhere without him right now."

"Well we will figure this one out later on. Just focus on James even though he may come together with Duncan that night. Okay? I really want to see you and James together again."

Cale's lips curl into a smile when he heard that, "Thanks man. You're pretty cool with having a gay relationship flaunt in your face."

"Well, I'm having the same thought as Sarah when she said you both should be an endgame." Mark shrugged.

"Wait. You knew about the whole crush thing too?" Cale frowned.

"Well technically yes. Sarah told me about it when we were dating. It's kinda funny actually because you seemed so clueless at that time. I figure it's good to be that way because we didn't want you to freak out when you knew about it."

Mark added, "You know, that guy always needed to listen to Sarah babbling about no flirting action whenever he's been asked to hang out with you. James had a history of having a crush on a straight guy before and it didn't go well. So Sarah was responsible to keep reminding James about it so that he would not freak you out."

"I feel like a very famous person in a short time." Cale frowned, looking at Mark.

Mark laughed, "Well, technically yes. You are a famous a person. You are the guitarist in the Kris Allen Band. Everyone knows you."

"That's not what I mean." Cale sighed.

Mark softly patted Cale's shoulder, "Don't worry. James will come back to you after the show. I promise."

Cale's lips curls into a smile even though in his mind he thinks that everyone that he knows seems happy with their second love.

Kris was with Katy before he broke up with her and married to Adam.

Sarah married to Mark who's clearly not her first love.

Could it be that the same situation will apply in his relationship too? That James would be more happy with Duncan instead of him?

"Kate was my first love and it didn't work out. I met James later on which makes him my second love. There's gotta be a way to make James realize that he is supposed to be with me."
