thats insane noone in nyc even know what Alabama is!! they just look at me like im crazy or theyre like is that a middle eastern country? hahahaha
but actually i get a pretty good response from kids who do know what and where alabama is.. mainly alot of New Weird American scenesters who listen to alot of Animal Collective & Devendra Banhart and pretend to live on communes when really daddy is paying for their Brooklyn studio apartment while they try to make fake hippy art.... to them, IM LIVING THE DREAM!!! they all wish they were from alabama. so dont worry my darling, there's an entire scene built upon kids who pretend to be from the country.. and its having its heyday right now!!

but I won't lie-that's how most canadians imitate americans, the whole south "y'all" & "redneck attitude" thing. Don't worry though, I save you guys' reputations up here.

/laughs/ I was blogsurfing and scampered across yours, found myself relating.
and yes, i'll be leaving the "great" state of tennessee for parts unknown eventually.

I still take some pride in my heritage though. Southerners are one of a kind.
