This afternoon, while I was at the checkout line at Fred Meyer's, this lady starts hissing at her son, "You're making me REALLY STRESSED (except, it was more like STRESSSSSSSSSSD)--be quiet, sit down shut up blah blah blah." It wasn't just the way she was saying it, but she was also grabbing his arm, shaking him, berating him in a manner of shoving her face in his. I felt completely horrible about how she made such a scene about her poor little son (maybe 5? 6?). He began to show a sad expression, and she bitched him out for "that face." She was having problems with her automated check out, and twice, an assistant cashier walked up to help her, paused, and backed off because of how awful she was acting...I really wanted to slap her like her parents probably did when she was little. I was so depressed.

I mean, come on, for a little money here and there, she can hire a sitter to watch her child while she runs errands, and save America from the future felon she is helping shape him to be through her emotional abuse.

I hate people.
