(no subject)
yesterday at work, these two very talkative, very adorable, boys were waiting around to be picked up after class, and having nothing better to do, decided to coversate with me. We had a lively conversation about Bionicals (i having no idea as to what the heck they are...like transformers or something?!?) among other things. Then they decided to test my smarts.
boy 1: "What's your favorite animal?"
me: "Uhhh, cats i guess. I like panda bears too."
boy 2: "like LIONS? i like lions. my mom likes them too!"
boy 1: "or SNOW LEOPARDS! they are cool. they live in China, Japan, and...in the mountains!"
boy 2: "My mom is from Japan!"
me: Cool! Are you guys going to train for the tournament next year? (our dojo is planning to put together a team to go to Japan and compete...i hope to be one of those competitors..!)
boy 2: "Maybe we'll just go watch."
boy 1: "Yeah, we'll learn by being...spectators! Yeah!!"
boy 2: "Do you know what pandas eat?"
me: "Bamboo."
boy 2: just kind of stared at me with an open mouth for a moment. then: "Do you know where they LIVE?"
me: "Ummmm...mostly in China?"
boy 2: his eyes opened wide and i could tell that i was the absolute smartest person on earth at that moment. it was the cutest thing ever.
Then we talked about dinosaurs and video games. And "Bad Boys II" as well as that new show "Father of the Pride."
i like being the smartest person ever.
