And I thought I was just going online to quickly check my flist and email... *g* I found it very interesting, but I do wonder about the noticeable absence of Snape--I really think he's going to play an important role in the end, as he has (by his action or inaction) in each book. My own feeling is that he'll be one of the ones to die in book seven...

If I put my theory-cap on I could see him as a white pawn (ickle Snivellus starting out on the eeevil side) who traverses the board (goes to the good side) to be queened--which might imply something about how powerful he is/will end up being in the end. Hm.

I do remember wondering when I read book one (lo, these many years ago!) why Ron didn't assign the queen piece to one of the trio, it being the most powerful piece and all.

I really enjoyed reading it and it's made me think!
