my second entry of the day. how often does that happen? actually, pretty often. i have this awful habit of saying more than i should. i really need to escape said pervasive influence of livejournal. it gets more attention than wordpress -_-;;
and finally, welcome, yes, welcome to purgatory. I spent ALL afternoon figuring how to uninstall windows xp. but no avail, apparently my registration number and information was missing. which meant two things: (1) the windows xp version on the laptop is illegal or (2) i'm stupid. i dno.
that left me with one option: cleaning out everything that isn't mine to free up RAM and hard disk etc. so I can reinstall Photoshop and my other many favorite programs. i ended up uninstalling over ten programs, such as Netscape (rubbish, nobody uses it, i swear), real player Mozilla thunderbird, msn, and some stupid adobe crap etc. etc. things can really clutter up on old laptops.
now, i need to
wait, i do believe i've complained about the laptop before. cause i don't like it. because the speakers are the trashiest of the kind ever. so i bought some new ones from Mong Kok, knowing where to buy cheap things. (heheh) and then, i come home, plug it in and the noise is still coming from this tinny little grids on the body of the laptop. so much for 'light weight'. normally, it would've been fine for me, but since i have gigs of music and i need to watch lots of jdrama, it's all very different. i want to be able to configure the sound better, sometimes, the laptop becomes inaquedate.
in actual fact, i don't like the office package. i need to make the edition chinese or hell, i'll be typing too much english and bleh. it makes me feel uncomfortable. so. whatever, i could
be running on linux but hellz no, i'm too lazy to get around to the task.
going to tst tmr. but my friend has not called. and i am bored.
(god, see, i love to write alot, this LJ addiction is fanatical) i really need to pack more. there's still plenty of space left in the suitcase. what's left to buy is a bag and some spare socks. the short ones from giordano are more recommended because it's cheap and less prone to stretching from bossini. which reminds me of how bossini seems to make loads more dosh because it's cheap and stylish, while sad ends such as baleno and blue star are pathetic and generic.
still, i'd prefer 2% and 9am. they just cost too much to buy too often. and for some reason, i loathe surfing brands and the stereotypes they bring, probably cause back in the year 7-9 days, everybody who had cash wore surfing brands and i didn't cause i was too timid to spend my own money on clothes. my parents were ramrod strict about this all.
wtf, i wonder off, i was meant to splurge about jdramas. i'm watching 14sai no haha, or fourteen year-old mother. it's airing now in hong kong and i'm watcing on crunchyroll because i have no choice! i'm leaving this week. it's awesome really, the song is by Mr.Children, which are one of the most long running bands in Japan, much like how L'Arc~en~ciel are still popular today. frankly, i despise hyde's voice but i loved they songs they did for fullmetal alchemist movie.
okay, yes, i love mr.children. but back on track, 14sai no haha is obvious from the title. the girl falls in love with 15 year old guy who achieves perfect grades but has an ego the size of your chocolate cream egg, he's been spoilt since birth by his wealthy mother, in a single parent family, and he's miserable. he has no social life, from what i gather and he's called kiri something. he's obsessed with the sky and studies hard. he's also rather weird looking, i think. god, get somebody like kanata hongo, they'd do a way better job (just kidding, he sucks too). the guy is emo overall but not in the wristslashing way.
miki is the opposite, she's outgoing, pretty, mature and immature simultaneously and hosts the school radio show. then she gets knocked up my him, since they fall in love, in the first episode and story starts from there. we trace how she slowly changes, her personality, which is very obvious. she begins to become nervous, emotional, probably due to her libido, though i thought that increased sex drive lol.
and of course, everything seems headed in the wrong direction, a 14 year old becoming pregnant is somewhat shocking still, in japanese society if you come from a middle age background. and miki wants to raise the child too. there's plenty of megativity in the story and she's attacked by her friends who view her differently. her parents are distraught but through till the end, her mother will give the importantly needed support. there's also this journalist somewhere, who covers this story etc. etc. i'm only on episode three so this is just lots of guessing.
still, this story comes head on with some controversial issues in the modern society , even in hong kong and western world. yadda yadda yadda. episode 17 of lovecom came on crunchyroll. OTANI GIVES INDIRECT CONFESSION! yippee! the thick headed guy finally realizes his feelings. too bad risa was asleep when that happened. i higly recommend both, cause lovecome is hilarious. the movie was good too (:
oh yeah, i watched the first episode of Heroes. woah, awesome. Milo something is not as hot as most people make him out to be, personally. but Masi Oka or whatever his name is, is hilarious. i loved him, he's quirky.
