I'm alive and kicking.
I've had good luck, not-so-good luck, and several what-the-fuck moments that nobody wants to read about.
When something fun happens in my life, I'll post about it. I'm thinking about hopping on the CTA trains and riding around all day tomorrow after work. Then maybe riding some Metra trains sometime this coming week. Since it's highly unlikely that I'll vacation this summer, I'll at least show myself some more of the city I currently call home. Ooh Maybe I'll go to Kenosha on the Metra or something. It's not Chicago by any stretch, but it's different. A new state and shit. I had a fascination with Wisconsin when I was much younger.
KENOSHA, WISCONSIN. It'll cost me $5.55 each way, but hell, that's $11.10 for a mini-vacation for which I have almost no expectations. It's much better than paying $texas to go to like San Diego or some other odious vacation hotspot and come back disappointed.
If I can squeeze it in, I'm gonna do some Megabus tours too. Take some Friday-Saturday trips, job permitting. I wanna do like 3 cities of the six left over (I'm already locked into St Louis for 8/25).
