This past week I've kept vampire hours. It's a little ridiculous. This entire week has been such a waste of my life. I've slept most of the daylight hours and then because I feel really weird doing anything productive at night, I make excuses not to do anything. I just tell myself that nighttime is for relaxing. I guess if I was sticking to societal norms I would be a little more honest and tell myself that nighttime is for sleep, but that's just details. No need to get technical. And since it's summer I don't really need to get stuff done. I mean it has only been one month of vacation. I still have three months left...crap, I really need to get over this delusional state. Before I know it my summer is going to be over and all I've had done was watch five million hours of dramas and tv shows. I'm planning to get my schedule fixed by tomorrow. I don't know if it's possible because I always overestimate my will power when it comes to sleep, but I'll keep my fingers crossed. Plus, I would rather not make my mom too mad. The worst part is that my brother has been doing the same thing this week, but no one cares. When I oversleep or reverse my sleeping schedule, it usually means to wake Chelsea up every half an hour so I'm even more tired. I think it's because my brother doesn't do anything with the family anymore, so everyone's just given up on him. I guess it's a good thing they still have hope for me.
It probably doesn't help that I watch like 12 hours of dramas every week. Never in my life of watching Kdramas have 6 dramas aired that I really wanted to watch at once. I'm in love with Baby-Faced Beauty and Best Love. Jin-Wook from Baby-Faced Beauty is such a dork, but I absolutely love him. I think he may be my favorite guy character this season. I'm not really sure what that says about me since he's so immature, but I don't care; he's hilarious. Best Love may be the standout this season because it's funny, fast-paced, has great acting, and makes you so confused over the two male leads. Most love triangles end up having no competition, but here both of the guys are great. Romance Town is my guilty Pleasure. I wouldn't say it's a great drama, but I still love it. It's really cute and I think winning the lottery can be a really interesting story. I never realized how overwhelming that could be. Some people weren't a fan of the whole Clark Kent story arc, but I thought it allowed for some fun, so I overlooked how unrealistic is was. I've been really liking City Hunter and Miss Ripley so far, but I think it may be a little too early to really say. City Hunter looks stunning; I always love when dramas have that movie quality. I've been thinking of watching Dr. Champ just because of that. Of course I also really like the storyline too. I think it's put together really well. It also doesn't hurt that Min-Ho is effing hot. Miss Ripley is definitely pulling me in really quickly. I'm already rooting for the heroine to lie and cheat and do whatever she has to do to make it. I just hope it doesn't get too melo for me; if it does I'll probably drop it just like many others in the past. The last drama I'm watching is Lie to Me. It has been just okay for me, but I feel like I've finally gotten into it. The last episode made me cry, so this is the first time I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens next. Yoon Eun-Hye is really good at crying and Kang Ji-Hwan is also another really hot one. That always makes a drama more bearable.
Oh and I've kept up with a lot of other summer shows like Game of Thrones, the Killing, the Borgias, and Camelot. Game of Thrones and the Killing are my favorites. I would definitely recommend them if you had the time. Both have great storylines, acting, and are beautiful to look at. And the Killing has such an enthralling mystery. Camelot is enjoyable, but I'm not particularly invested in the story or the characters. I really liked the Borgias, but I don't think it's for everyone. Of course François Arnaud is a definite plus, but if you don't like serious historical dramas, he may not be enough. He only looks really hot in the show, unfortunately. When he has short lighter hair and no scruff, he just doesn't do it, but when he looks like this:
he's smokin'.
This is getting pretty long, so I guess I'll just keep this post about the shows I've been watching. I'm only going to spare this one line about how sad my life must sound since all I have to talk about is tv shows. And moving on...The IT Crowd is effing hilarious. It's a great show to watch for an instant pick-me-up. I don't usually watch sitcoms, but I heard so much about it, so I gave it a try. I'm really glad I did. I watched the last four seasons this week, which was really easy since every season only has 6 episodes. It's quick and laugh-out-loud funny. As long as you're not computer illiterate, you'll think everything is funny too. If there's the slight chance you are, you'll think mostly everything is funny.
