amethyst bracelet
Well, enough bitching. February's birthstone is amethyst and I've made some new amethyst jewelry to go on my Etsy site. I'm in the process of putting this up now.
It's a triple strand of amethyst chips, dark purple on the outside and lighter purple in the middle, with gold-plated beads and fancy glass oval and round beads (they're an irridescent purple/teal green, frosted surfaces with ground-in round or oval dots showing the purple glass underneath--I love these beads). The clasp is a 22k gold-plated tube clasp that slides together. It looks uneven stretched out like this, because of the shape of the chips, but it's gorgeous on the wrist.
I haven't sold anything yet through the shop, so I don't know if it's worth adding things. If I can keep from screwing up entry to the art show (FORMS! doubtful) I'll have things at Escapade. God. See icon.
ETA: hmm looking at this, I'm tempted to make a matching choker. Could be nice, but it would have to fit snug around the neck. Would be better made to order, I think.
