Sad sad news
Long, long ago, when I was young and innocent and Muse were only just being born, I got into my first band in a major way. That band was the Electric Light Orchestra. I pledged eternal love to Jeff Lynne (well he did write all the songs and his mouth disturbed me in a whole new way, plus I was a big fan of facial hair on men even then) despite the major age gap. Today I have pledged equally eternal love to Chris and Matt from Muse despite the major age gap too, that's another story.
But about half an hour ago, completely by chance while mooching around Muselive of all places, I discovered that Kelly Groucutt, the bassist from ELO died yesterday from a heart attack. I am shocked beyond belief, he was such a sweetie and sported a pedro-alike ages before Chris was even shaving, plus he fell out with Jeff Lynne a while ago over a re-grouping of ELO. I hope they made it up before Kelly died, RIP and much love to all his family.
