Everything has been pretty decent lately. School is in full swing, and I feel apart of it, instead of feeling like I want to avoid it. I still procrastinate hella, but I seem to be pretty awesome at it now. Maybe I should just embrace it. I had 2 papers due last Tuesday, and of course I did them both the night before and the day of.
For my psych paper, I had to relate a children's story to gender stereotypes. I also had to include and refer to TWO psych articles, write an APA style citation page, and include actual photocopies proving my points I made from my children's book. I did it the night before it was due at 11 AM.
I just got it back yesterday, and I got a perfect score, plus a comment from my TA saying how she loved how I wrote it. Also, I had my first exam yesterday in that class and I just looked at my grade. A nice 92%. I haven't had such good exam grades since my super easy bio class first semester. Woo.
My ASL class is really interesting. It's probably my favorite. We just took our first exam in the class today, and it was fairly easy. The only part I didn't like was the numbers, because I always mess up 3, 6, and 9, and those were the only numbers we needed to know today. Gah! Either way, I'm pretty sure I got an A on that exam too.
So Topher and I may/maynot be on the news tonight at 10. Channel 58 was on campus today, just randomly finding kids to ask about the kid who got shot last night while making deliveries for Jimmy Johns. It's really tragic. I just found out today when the news guy told me. I dont really like how they had to tell everyone what happened. Cause they got my reaction on camera. I probably look all bugged out and scared. He was like "One of your fellow students was shot less than a block away. How does that make you FEEL?!" and I'm looking all dumb. I don't even remember what I said. I guess I'll find out if they show what I said.
Hm. I bought 3 CDs in the last month, all pretty good. Check out Boys Like Girls, Saosin, and the new Senses Fail album.
Work has been AWESOME. Our new Operations Manager, Dan, is cool. I'm glad to have such a smart and nice guy to be in charge. He changed the way we do credit apps, so that only the two best people of the day can take the apps. On Sunday, I was the designated app girl and we finished the day at 100%. (We have to get people to sign up for our credit protection plan, and it's hard cause no one ever wants it...) We took 18 apps that day and 16 were mine. I missed taking a few when I was on lunch and before I got there. Our manager was SO PSYCHED. They got me a new silver nametag that says "Casey. Financing Expert" FUCK YEAH. lol.. Hopefully, that will affect how much of a raise I get in April.
-Oh, and I bought a laptop. It was $850, on sale from $1000. We're going to need to bring a power cord to the table so we can all plug in.
-My mom and I fixed our phone situation. We now both have the new LG8300. A-MA-ZING
-Chad got me a really pretty necklace for our 6 monther. It's a silver heart with a blueish pearly thing on it. Good to know he pays attention. :)
-Haven't seen Sarah more than ONCE since School started, and thats cause Jeremy and I went to her work and she doesn't like to return phone calls. :/
-I look forward to going to Parkside every Thursday. Chad's roommates are really cool and we all like to play Scattergories. Sometimes we make it into a drinking game. Chad and I still kick ass hella. ;D
-Chad and I may or maynot go to the Hellogoodbye show in 2 weeks. He has to see if he has any tests or something that he can't miss. Neat.
Sigh. I think I'm going to go be productive and do homework or something.
