Okay, I'll update my 'captain's log...'

So I'm in the campus computer lab right now. Today, I had to finish the last page of my business paper. I just so happen to have a paper due every Tuesday. At least they're supposed to be short papers, like 2-3 pages... but I don't really know much about Business so I take a bit longer to actually write these things out!

So Topher and I went to the lab and I was really actually doing my paper, like seriously working on it. And the stupid fire alarm went off! We had to evacuate the building! I was so pissed. At first everyone just kept working and ignoring it, thinking it was a joke or a mistake or something, but then people in yellow vests came up to the computer lab and started shouting at us like it was real.

It was a actual fire drill and these people were SCREAMING at us to leave. One girl was trying to print stuff and a woman in a vest went up to her and screamed like she was a drill seargant. She even got all red and veiny. wtf.

I was lucky I saved my document, because I made it back to the lab after the drill and I just resumed where I left off.

So anyway...

I switched my work schedule around this past weekend so I could go down to Parkside and see Chad on Thursday night. Since we were having minor issues between us, it wasn't that awesome until We talked stuff over and then went and started drinking. Chad's roommate gave me some wine of my very own since I mentioned I really am not a fan of beer and even though it was a small amount of wine, I got pretty tipsy. Not drunk, but just nice enough to feel the buzz for the rest of the night.

On Saturday, I had to close, but I was going to try to get off of work earlier because Saturday is the one day on the weekend where Chad won't have to work all night long. I actually got off at 9, but he had decided to play cards that night. Of course, we were out till after 1 and then the night was pretty much shot. sigh.

Sunday, I had agreed to take him and Brant back to Parkside. Their mom actually gave me like $15 in gas money. We picked up Chris Case and went back to their apartment. Chad and I actually went out on our own and got ice cream. When we got back, of course, they wanted to play cards again. sigh. This time I bought in and actually played though. It was only 5 bucks. And I was the first one to get busted out. That was the first time that ever happened. Eh.

It was nice to wake up on Monday though and see Chad on our 6 month anniversary. He really doesn't care though... he says anniversaries are overrated. I think when you make a huge deal about every other month with presents and stuff, that you're overdoing it, but 6 months? come on! I barely make a deal out of anything. He didn't even know what day it was on. augh. I got him a present though, and I hope he likes it.

In other news, Verizon completely fucked over my mom and I. We got new phones last Monday, EIGHT DAYS AGO, and they told us we had 15 days to decide if we liked them, or to trade them in. So we went back yesterday, SEVEN days later, to get different phones, and they wouldn't let us. And then when my mom started to get pissed, she just wanted the phones back so she could leave, but the dumb girl behind the counter had already cancelled the phones they gave us a week ago. She could only activate new phones for us, the same exact model we were trying to give back, and they wouldn't transfer my mom's phone numbers back, even though it was their fault that they lied to us and had a bunch of hidden fees with the contract. So my mom is super pissed, and even refuses to call them up and bitch to fix it. I told her that by doing nothing, she's letting them win, but she really doesn't care. I'm like wtf. I cant call them because I'm not the primary on the account (its a family plan), so I don't know what to do. My mom is convinced that the girl behind the counter didn't know what she was doing and screwed things up by mistake and then wouldn't get it fixed. She's still absolutely livid.

We've been with Verizon since back when they were just Prime-co, and then when Verizon bought Prime-co out, we stayed with them, with the same plan and phone numbers for like 6 years now. So why aren't they more accommodating? Augh.
