Yesterday, I got up and cleaned the pool... and did other various household chores. I picked up Sarah from work at 4:30. We drove by the Exclusive Company, where there were about a trillion (okay, more like 200) Taking Back Sunday teenie boppers all awaiting an autograph. We drove by and laughed.

We went back to Sarah's for a bit, and then I went home to get ready for our concert. Chad called and I told him to see if anyone else needed a ride down to the Rave. He said that no one had called him, but he would call around to find out. Turned out that I gave Kevin and Case a ride too. ...But we had to dick around with waiting for people to show up and picking up people. We didn't get down to the Rave until about 7ish.

When we got in there, it was very VERY hot. We just sort of stood around on the 2nd floor and didn't go into the ballroom until about 7:30. We missed Head Automatica.

Angels and Airwaves started right at 7:30. They were all right. Tom DeLonge is sort of full of himself. He kept saying stuff like "Thanks for coming out to see ME and MY band and giving ME a second chance at music. Thanks for supporting MY old band Blink-182. Blah Blah..."

Most of the Angels set was all intro. I know that most of the CD is intros and interludes, but normally during a concert, you cut some of that stuff out! It was almost like they added even more. Gah. Tom did end up singing both verses of Blink's "down" as the transition into "the adventure" which was sort of cool. And then he did this huge monologue about love and how special it is and then he sang "there is" by Box Car Racer. Most kids in the crowd didn't know the words and just sort of shrugged. Hah, you loser kids.

Their ending was all right. They did "the war" and attempted to rock out.... And they kept playing the same chords over and over again until all at once - it just stopped. I think most people cheered cause it was over.

Between sets, Chad and I went to go buy $3.00 cups of water and soda for the group. Since TBS was going to take the stage pretty soon, I couldn't get close enough to our group. I handed Chad the water to give to Sarah and I stayed a few rows back and hung out with Evan and Colleen. I told Evan that we were going to get stage rushed once the music started, and I would probably run up and try to join my group.

And I pretty much got PUSHED up to my group, which was pretty awesome. Chad pulled me up in front of him. TBS opened with Whats it Feel like to be a Ghost, and then played Head Club, Bonus Mosh pt II, The Union, You're So Last Summer, Set Phasers to Stun, MakeDamnSure, Cute without the E, Error Operator, My Blue Heaven, This Photograph is Proof (Which reminded me of the drunken sing-a-long at Ben's party,) Liar, and closed with Devine Intervention and A Decade Under the Influence.

It was amazing. At one point, a crazy pit broke out next to us and some sweaty guy came and just about elbowed me in the face. Chad ran over to be all protective... :D Oh, and I also got hit in the forehead with an airborne sandal. That concert was so loud, but I could still hear Kevin's laugh from behind me. I passed the sandal off and someone else threw it.

It was so fucking hot in that room, that EVERYONES clothes were drenched with sweat. When we got out, my clothes were soaked through. When we got back to my car, I turned the AC on and it felt awesome.

We were all going to do something after the concert, but Sarah's boyfriend Matt's car got a window smashed in. Apparently every car parked on that block got damage inflicted upon them, which sucked. I dropped off Case and then I took Brant and Kevin back to Brant's house and Chad and I were going to go pick up Matt and Sarah, but I guess they didn't need us after all, so Chad and I went back to my house and ordered pizza.

Overall, it was a good night and I was happy to actually have a good TBS concert experience. I saw them at Warped 3 years ago it was good, but it wasn't at all like in the ballroom.
